Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your first session is about getting to know you, what’s bringing you to therapy, what kind of support you’re looking for, and what you hope to get out of the process. It’s a conversation, not a test, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll explore your concerns at a pace that feels comfortable.

Just as importantly, it’s a chance for you to get to know me and get a sense of my approach to therapy. The aim is to develop a plan together that supports your goals in a way that works for you.

  • If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about how to navigate certain challenges and experiences, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit, it’s just as much about personal growth, self-understanding, and learning new ways to manage life’s ups and downs. If you're unsure, the first session is a good space to explore whether this feels like the right fit for you

  • It depends on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly about your progress so you feel in control of your therapy journey.

  • Your privacy matters, and almost everything you share in therapy is confidential. The only exceptions are if there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if I am legally required to share information.

If you have any concerns or questions about confidentiality, we can talk them through in our sessions so you feel informed and comfortable.
