About
I’m a registered psychologist with over 20 years of international experience, taking a person-centered, down-to-earth approach. My work spans clinical and social settings, from frontline roles to leadership, alongside contributions to research and university education in the UK and Australia
Alongside my private practice, I work in a clinical leadership role, stay actively involved in research, and regularly contribute to teaching as a guest lecturer. This broad engagement gives me a well-rounded perspective on both common and more complex mental health concerns.
I’m also an Industry Fellow at the UTS School of Public Health and a guest lecturer at the UTS Graduate School of Psychology. I’ve been invited to lecture at institutions including King’s College London and Royal Holloway – University of London, presented at conferences, and published research in peer-reviewed journals. Staying connected to research and academia helps ensure that my therapeutic approach remains practical, evidence-based, and current.
My Therapeutic Style
While I believe that psychological therapy should be practical and firmly based evidence-based strategies, most importantly it must be tailored to you, your needs and experiences. My approach draws from scientifically supported therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed principles, ensuring that our work together is grounded in proven strategies while remaining flexible and person-centred.
That means therapy isn’t just about talking through challenges, it’s about understanding what’s happening, developing practical tools, and making meaningful progress in a way that fits your life.
I work with adults at all stages of life, providing therapy that is inclusive, non-judgmental, and respectful of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
